    The High Impact Learning Organization

This comprehensive industry study is the first-ever detailed analysis of best practices in the management and operations of corporate training. It is designed to help you understand how to organize, manage, and govern corporate training for the highest business impact.

Key strategies discussed in this study include:

    • What is the impact of a CLO? What qualities make a highly effective CLO?
    • Centralized vs. Federated approach: What functions should be centralized vs. distributed? What are best practices in each model?
    • Resource Allocation: What % of your staff should be in different roles? How should you allocate your budget across different training programs?
    • Relationship with HR: How closely aligned should enterprise learning be with HR?

The report is designed to give small, medium, and large organizations specific, actionable information to help them improve effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise learning and training.

Implementing a Global Technology Platform: ING Case Study

ING standardized on a global e-learning platform, the ING Learning Center, for delivering and tracking learning across five continents. Over the last three years, ING has rolled out the new system to learners in 15 countries. The solution resulted in estimated savings of $19.9 million from 2002-2004, when the Learning Center was still in its infancy. The company expects its 2005 expense analysis will show savings in even larger proportions.

In addition, the platform has enabled the company to effectively manage and track training, an especially significant factor for mandatory compliance-related training programs.

Going forward, ING is embarking on a competency management initiative that will make the Learning Center an integral part of the company's employee development and performance management strategies.
