New Research: LMS: Enterprise vs. Divisional Approach?

Our latest industry study reviews more than 300 organizations' LMS implementations to identify trends and best practices in enterprise vs. divisional or departmental implementations.

Based on this research, the study answers:

    • What are the ROI and costs/benefits of an enterprise implementation vs. a divisional implementation?
    • What governance and organizational issues drive a successful enterprise LMS vs. divisional strategy?
    • Which vendors map best into each approach?
    • Where does Peoplesoft fit into the LMS market? What are the pros and cons of using Peoplesoft or another ERP solution?
    • How can you make sure that your enterprise-wide LMS strategy is successful?

    Rapid E-Learning: Webinar slides

Rapid E-Learning will compose up to 50% of all e- learning projects in the next 3 years. Download our webinar slides and replay to learn all about it. The presentation outlines when to use rapid e-learning, what tools are available, what methodologies work, and how to apply Bloom's Taxonomy to create a "rapid e-learning instructional design" model.

For a more detailed analysis of this market, read our full report. This report details all the latest tools for rapid e-learning program development. We compare tools by "self-study" and "live" and give you guidelines for selecting the right tool and when to use live vs. self-study approaches. The report also includes market sizing data and case studies from a variety of companies who have implemented rapid e-learning techniques, including Procter & Gamble, Novell, Bayer, Citibank, WebMD and more.

    The Blended Learning Book

Josh Bersin's latest book, The Blended Learning Book, is the result of more than three years of research into best practices in blended learning. It covers everything you need to know to understand why, when, and how to use e-learning in your corporate training programs.

One of the most important parts of this book covers the methodologies you can use to create your own blended programs. It reviews the 17 media types, the three blending approaches, and when to use live, self-study, and ILT training methods.

The book also describes how to develop e-learning content and the tools, processes, and best practices established in this industry. Finally, the book walks you through the process of marketing, budgeting, and measuring blended programs.

Free Webinar Series: E-Learning Content Integration

Our research reveals that content integration is one of the most challenging aspects of making e-learning a reality for most organizations. While industry standards (e.g. AICC, SCORM) have made great strides, experienced e-learning technology managers find that getting reliable and cost effective integrations between content and other systems (e.g. LMS) is not as easy as it seems.

This webinar will give you some insights into these challenges and present options that can save you time and reduce the headaches of making integration work.

Consolidating Disparate LMSs in Health Care

In 2000, The Regence Group was using a variety of training systems across its major divisions. In order to ensure compliance with government regulations on training, the company needed a single system through which to manage, deploy, and report on all their training initiatives.

An ROI analysis estimated that the project would break even in five years. Most of the cost savings would come from reducing the administrative overhead of maintaining disparate systems.

Regence Group selected DKSystems' OnTrack for Training as its enterprise-wide system. With just 2.5 full-time equivalents, implementation took 10 months and cost approximately $630K, with annual costs of $120K. The DKSystems' online LMS configuration tool, DK WebBuilder, was used to perform interface customization without any programming.
