David Mallon, Head of Research
David Mallon leads the Research team – setting strategy, ensuring high-quality operations, and driving continuous innovation. He is also the steward for our Learning and Development research practice and is the primary force behind our work in learning cultures, high-impact learning organization maturity, and learning management systems. He is a recognized thought leader in the learning industry and a frequent speaker at key industry events. Before joining Bersin, David led the consulting practice for a major LMS provider. Prior to that, he held learning and organization development-related positions with EarthLink, where he was responsible for overall learning strategy for its global call center organization. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Emory University and an M.S. in Digital Media from the Georgia Institute of Technology with focuses on computer-aided distance learning and on storytelling in digital environments.

Robin Erickson, Vice President, Talent Acquisition Research
Robin Erickson, Ph.D., directs Bersin by Deloitte’s Talent Acquisition research practice, where she draws on her most recent experiences focused on Talent Strategies consulting and research for Deloitte’s Human Capital practice. She led Deloitte’s global Talent 2020 longitudinal survey series and has authored several Deloitte publications, including The Talent Paradox and Where Did Our Employees Go? With over 19 years in consulting, Robin has broad experience in talent strategy, retention improvement, workforce planning, organization design, mass career customization, diversity and inclusion, leadership alignment, change management, culture assessment, workforce transition, project management, and facilitation. She has been published in the Deloitte Review, Business Finance, Workspan, and the International Journal of Organizational Analysis. Robin holds a doctorate from Northwestern University in Organizational Communication and Change, a master's degree in Communication from Northwestern University, a master's degree in Theology from Northern Seminary, and a B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Stacia Sherman Garr, Vice President, Talent Management Research
Stacia Sherman Garr leads Bersin by Deloitte’s Talent Management research practice. She is responsible for Bersin by Deloitte’s research on talent strategy, integrated talent management, performance management, career management, diversity and inclusion, employee recognition, competencies, and workforce planning. Stacia’s work has been covered by the Wall Street Journal FINS website, as well as industry publications such as HR Executive, Chief Learning Officer, Talent Management and Training Zone. Prior to joining Bersin, she worked as a senior analyst for the Corporate Executive Board, serving as both a research analyst and an instructional designer. She also served as an adjunct history professor at Northern Virginia Community College. Stacia holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She is in her final year of study for an MBA at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
Katherine Jones, Vice President, HCM Technology Research
Katherine Jones, Ph.D., covers the underlying HCM technologies and services that support the management of a global workforce. Prior to joining Bersin by Deloitte, she was director of marketing for NetSuite, Inc. Previously, she was a research director at the Aberdeen Group where she established Aberdeen’s Human Capital Management practice, focusing on research and consulting services in HR, talent acquisition, workforce management, ERP, and mid-market companies. She has written widely on many areas of talent management, technology and business practices, with more than 300 works published to date. Prior to a high technology career, Jones was a university dean, involved in academic administration, research, and teaching. Jones is a frequent speaker and is widely published in the U.S. and abroad. She has a master of arts and a doctorate degree from Cornell University.
Kim Lamoureux, Vice President, Leadership & Succession Research
Kim Lamoureux has more than 20 years of professional experience in talent management, with a primary focus on leadership development, succession planning and talent acquisition. She leads Bersin by Deloitte’s Leadership Development research practice. In this capacity, she is responsible for setting research priorities, overseeing all research initiatives, and aligning research with membership needs. Kim also helps clients to solve their most complex leadership challenges, including leadership strategy, leadership and executive development, high potential identification, leadership assessment, career management, succession management, and talent mobility. With more than 200 works published, Kim is a recognized thought leader in the leadership development industry and a frequent speaker at key industry events. Prior to joining Bersin, she held several talent and development management positions throughout her 13-year career as a practitioner at Textron Inc., a $12 billion global multi-industry manufacturer and service provider.

Karen O'Leonard, Vice President, Benchmarking & Analytics Research
Karen O'Leonard leads the talent analytics and benchmarking practice at Bersin by Deloitte. She is the author of the Factbook series, Bersin by Deloitte's popular benchmarking studies in human resources, leadership development, learning & development and talent acquisition. Her more recent work involves identifying the key drivers of successful talent analytics teams, which has served as the basis for a set of research and tools that enable organizations to assess and improve their analytics capabilities. In addition, Karen has led several studies over the past year on leadership development practices in China. Prior to joining Bersin, Karen spent 15 years in research, product management, and corporate strategy for Silicon Valley companies Apple, Sun Microsystems, and eBay. With an M.B.A. degree and concentration in Quantitative Methods from Drexel University, Karen brings a solid background in research design and data analysis, together with a keen understanding of business issues, to her work at Bersin.
Todd Tauber, Vice President, Learning & Development Research
Todd Tauber leads Bersin by Deloitte’s Learning & Development research practice, focusing on workforce learning, high-impact learning organizations, and learning technology. He is responsible for defining research priorities, managing data collection and analytics, and aligning research with members’ needs. Todd’s thought leadership on learning has been published by Quartz, Business Insider, Yahoo! Finance and The Atlantic. Before joining Bersin by Deloitte, he led business development at Nomadic Learning and shaped business strategy and new ventures at The Economist, where he co-led the development and launch of a new corporate learning division. Todd has a MBA from Columbia Business School.
