Relationship of Talent Management to Enduring Business Success Highlighted in IMPACT 2008 Keynote

More Than 300 Senior HR and Learning Leaders Gather to Discuss Business Impact of Talent Management and Critical Talent Challenges
Oakland, CA – April 8, 2008 – IMPACT 2008: The Business of Talent™, the first research conference on corporate learning and talent management, will open with a keynote discussing the relationship of talent management to long-term enduring business success. Josh Bersin, president of Bersin & Associates, will open the conference on Wednesday, April 23, with the keynote address “Here Today and Here Tomorrow: Lessons from Enduring Organizations.” The speech will discuss the five keys to enduring business success and how HR and corporate training professionals play a pivotal role in the equation.

The sold-out conference will cover the latest research findings, issues, trends, and best practices related to all areas of corporate talent management. More than 50 executive presenters -- including senior representatives from Caterpillar, Aramark, Northrop Grumman, Textron, MetLife, and CA -- will lead the agenda’s 21 sessions. The conference will take place at The Vinoy Renaissance Resort in St. Petersburg, FL, on April 22-24. More than 300 HR and learning executives from all industry segments will attend.

More than half of companies surveyed are embarking on major talent management initiatives, yet 78% have no named executive in charge of talent management activities across the enterprise.
