NEW YORK, August 23, 2011 -- Inc. magazine today named Bersin & Associates to its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Oakland, Ca.-based Bersin & Associates, the premier research and consulting firm empowering HR organizations to drive bottom-line impact, joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. It also appeared on the list of fastest-growing companies in the San Francisco Metro area. Nationally, the firm placed 60th on the list of human resources-related companies. Bersin & Associates’ ranking was achieved through the continued growth of its research membership and consulting businesses, which contributed to a compound annual revenue growth rate of more than 40 percent for the past three years. “Our business results underscore the value we deliver by empowering HR and learning organizations to drive bottom-line impact through our world-class research and research-based consulting,” said Josh Bersin, president and chief executive officer, Bersin & Associates. “It’s a testament to the strength of our business model – and our ability to help companies get smart fast and jump-start results – that we continue to grow in today’s turbulent business environment.” In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.
