Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder
Josh Bersin has worked with hundreds of companies to deliver high impact employee learning, leadership development and talent management. In 2001, he founded Bersin to provide research and advisory services focused on corporate learning. Today, the firm is the “go to” source for learning and HR decision makers seeking product and market data, insight on trends and expert advice on enterprise learning and talent management.
Bersin is a frequent speaker at industry events including the HR Technology Conference, the ASTD International Conference, and the Learning Technologies Conference. In addition, he has been a columnist since 2007 for Chief Learning Officer magazine and is a frequent contributor to other leading training and HR publications. He has been quoted on talent management topics in BusinessWeek, Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, on BBC Radio and National Public Radio. He is also a featured columnist covering the topics of business and leadership in Forbes.com.
In 2010, Bersin was named by HR Examiner magazine among the “Top 100 Influencers in HR” and the “Top 25 Online Influencers in Talent Management.” Bersin also serves on the editorial advisory board for Workforce Solutions magazine and as a volunteer on the scholarship committee for the SHRM Foundation.
He is the author of The Training Measurement Book: Best Practices, Proven Methodologies, and Practical Approaches (April 2008, Pfeiffer) and The Blended Learning Book: Best Practices, Proven Methodologies, and Lessons Learned (October 2004, Wiley/Pfeiffer).
Earlier in his career, Bersin spent 25 years in product development, product management, marketing and sales of e-learning and other enterprise technologies at companies including DigitalThink (now Convergys), Arista Knowledge Systems, Sybase, and IBM. Josh's education includes a B.S. in engineering from Cornell University, an M.S. in engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of California Haas School of Business.

Bob Danna, Director
Bob Danna has more than 30 years of industry experience in human
performance consulting, adult learning and associated management
consulting services. At Bersin by Deloitte, he has been instrumental in launching
the Advisory Consulting practice, developing the firm’s branded
WhatWorks® methodologies, and delivering advisory support in
talent management, enterprise learning, measurement, and technology
selection to numerous research members.
Danna has held executive management positions with RWD Technologies, where he served as a vice president in the Enterprise Systems Group, responsible for operations in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific; at General Physics Corporation, where he held positions of executive vice president, group president and member of the board of directors; at Knowledge Management Solutions, Inc., where he served as executive vice president, COO and member of the board of directors; at Convene.com, where he served as senior vice president and chief customer officer; and at Resource Management International, where he served as senior vice president of the management and technical services practice. In these positions, he consulted with Fortune 1000 clients worldwide, with extensive experience in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Danna also served as a naval officer on active duty at the Naval Nuclear Power School as a division director and instructor, and in the reserves, leaving the service after 12 years as a lieutenant commander. He holds advanced degrees in physics and engineering, is a registered professional engineer, and has published or presented more than 40 papers on a variety of management, technical and enterprise learning topics.

Laura Evenson, Vice President Communications
Laura Evenson leads communications and is responsible public relations, messaging, thought leadership and major events. Evenson has extensive experience with building brands and visibility across geographies, vertical industries, businesses and communities.
Laura was previously with ImageSpan, where she executed communications programs to drive business opportunities and establish the company as a global leader in Web-based content licensing and royalty settlement services. At ImageSpan, she led global media relations, analyst relations, developed social media initiatives including a company blog, and worked closely with partners and customers to support communications initiatives. Prior, Evenson served as a director for SutherlandGold Group, where she led major media programs for emerging technology companies.
Before SutherlandGold Group, Evenson served as a Manager at Burson-Marsteller, where she played a leadership role in developing effective communications strategies, programs, positioning, and messaging for a range of clients, including HP, SRI International, CDW, Qualcomm, Fujitsu Software, CollegeClub.com, and Accenture.
Evenson’s previous experience includes work as a staff business and feature writer for the San Francisco Chronicle. She also has served as a contributing columnist and editor for Sound & Vision magazine, and previously was a business writer at the Oakland Tribune.

Chris Howard, Director
Chris Howard heads product management for technology initiatives at Bersin by Deloitte. He has an extensive background in learning and enterprise systems technology. Howard has provided research and consulting services in the deployment of learning systems to many organizations. He has authored research reports on a variety of topics in enterprise learning. Howard was instrumental in creating the research development processes at Bersin by Deloitte. Most, recently he is leading the effort to develop the BersinInsights platform and other technology products.
Earlier in his career, Howard held positions in product development and management for several industry-leading learning technology products including those from Macromedia (now Adobe), IBM, and Convergys. He helped direct the product strategy and development for key systems in the early days of the enterprise learning systems marketplace. He holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Houston.

Allen Keetch, Senior Vice President of Global Sales
As Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Allen Keetch leads membership development growth at Bersin and is responsible for delivering strategic sales and support for Bersin’s customers. In this role, he directly manages sales operations and staff. He has held sales positions of increasing scope, with responsibility for business development in both domestic and overseas markets since joining Bersin 2004.
Keetch has served in a variety of executive management positions. He founded Aztak Technology in 1998, where he was responsible for the ideation, development, marketing and sales of corporate enterprise-wide security solutions. Before Aztak, Keetch served as General Sales Manager for Anheuser-Busch based in London, a role he was promoted to after working for the organization for three years. He was instrumental in helping Anheuser-Busch triple its business in the United Kingdom, which became one of the company’s top three international markets. Earlier in his career, Keetch held several senior sales and leadership roles for large, multi-national companies including Procter & Gamble, and Guinness PLC in the United Kingdom. Keetch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from East Anglia University in the United Kingdom.

Suvendu Mahapatra, Vice President - Engineering
Suvendu Mahapatra runs the engineering organization and is responsible for creating Bersin's next generation digital media strategy which includes mobile, social, LMS, and digital delivery platforms. Mahapatra brings over 20 years of engineering product development and management experience.
Mahapatra was the Vice President of Engineering at JiWire, a venture capital backed leading provider of location-based advertising on WiFi and Mobile platforms. He also had a distinguished and successful 11 year stint with Yahoo! where he was deeply involved in building and managing business critical and global web platforms, products, and infrastructure. His wide range of experience includes web data mining, online advertisement, digital media content management and publishing, CMS, online user registration, authentication & authorization, and CRM integration.
Mahapatra has also held positions at Sun and SGI. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Anna University and an MBA from San Jose State University.

David Mallon, Vice President - Research
David Mallon leads the Research team and is responsible for establishing overall strategy and direction for the research efforts, ensuring timely and efficient production of new research, establishing member professional development offerings, and driving continuous innovation in methods and outputs.
Previously, David directed the learning and development research practice. Mallon has been responsible for some of Bersin's most innovative and thought provoking work over his tenure, including major industry studies such High Impact Learning Culture, Learning Management Systems, and High Impact Learning Practices. His research now plays a central role in the learning strategies of companies such as Michelin and Xerox.
David has more than fifteen years of experience in corporate learning strategies, programs, and processes, and in the selection and implementation of learning and performance solutions and related technologies. Mallon led the consulting services practice for a major LMS provider, where he and his team assisted hundreds of clients with the integration and alignment of solutions to critical business objectives. He has held several learning and organization development related positions with EarthLink, where he was responsible for overall learning strategy for its global call center organization. Mallon is a frequent presenter at key industry events such as those of ASTD, the e-Learning Guild, Online Educa, and the UK’s Learning and Skills Group. Mallon holds a Masters Degree in Digital Media from the Georgia Institute of Technology with focuses on computer-aided distance learning and on storytelling in digital environments.
